After 20 years of Sjogrens

Hi, Im a 73 yr old retired male with RA, Sjogrens, Polymyalgia Theumatica, Reynauds, Menieres, Gerd. So in my late 40’s and early 50’s I began struggling and self treating myself for what I thought was just getting older and osteoarthritis. I told my Pcp that otc pain relievers weren’t cutting it and my body was fatigued. So referred to a great Rheumatologist who initially diagnosed me with just Fibromyalgia. But he explained that anyone with that needs plenty of quality rest. So an rx pain pill and a netve pill which really helped. But of course he retired and I was assigned to another Rheumy that was only concerned with stopping my meds. Then an NP who was way over scheduled and an unhappy person. She continued my meds but complained abouy them everytime I saw her. Thrn that supposedly top rheumy practice decided to terminate all patients on rx opiods. So off to another- this was okay I got a brand new Rheumy buu he didn’t know anything about Sjogrens and would just rx prednisone whenever I had a flare. He moved out west and the “genius” neuro/ rheumy told me that there is no such thing as Sjogrens! Then finally onto a good experienced rheumy who treats a lot of Sjogrens. He put me on a biologic and it is working but the fatigue is still rough. I see a dry eye specialist, a Sjogrens dentist, a terrific Pcp, gastro, pulmonologist, etc. i know this is way too much info but if you keep pushing and grinding you can have a decent existence but you will always have flares and very bad days but never stop being active- that’s the key for me!
